Bio
I am a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in Manhattan (NY license #016452). My doctoral training was at Boston University, and I have completed post-doctoral fellowship training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. My research has focused on several areas, including stress and health, coping with anxiety and cancer, as well as brain activity during meditation. My dissertation research focused on how the frequency and length of meditation sessions helped a group of American Buddhist meditators cope with stress.
In addition to private psychotherapy practice, I am also a clinical researcher at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. I also supervise medical residents at Mt. Sinai in the Department of Psychiatry. I have also served as an adjunct professor in the Department of Psychology at Hunter College, also in New York City.
